BRUNSWICK® HERB AND GARLIC SARDINE SPREAD

A Mediterranean medley of flavour.

Ingredients

1 can BRUNSWICK®  SARDINES in SPRING WATER, drained

1/2 cup / 125 mL butter or margarine, softened

4 to 6 cloves fresh garlic, minced

1 tbsp paprika

1 tbsp parsley, flakes

1 tsp dried oregano

Directions

Makes 12 appetizers

Preparation time: 5 minutes

Regrigeration: 5 minutes

Time to table: 10 minutes

Mix BRUNSWICK®  SARDINES, butter or margarine, garlic and paprika by hand or in a food processor.

Stir in parsley and oregano. Store in refrigerator.

Serve on toast or with pasta.

Tip:

  • Spread on garlic toast (broiled on one side; apply spread on other side) and return to broiler until lightly browned. Serve immediately.
  • Spread can be used as a pasta topping by stiring into hot, cooked pasta and top with Parmesan cheese. Serve immediately.
  • Also great as a vegetable dip or on crackers.
  • You can also use Brunswick® Seafood Snacks or Brunswick® Sardines with Hot Peppers for added flavour.
